What size sand-free towels do you have?

Our sand-proof beach towels come in a longer length! While most so-called full-length towels are only 160 cm, we don't cut short to save on fabric. The Summer Chaser towels are 180 cm long, so you can comfortably lay down with your whole body. That means no more burnt feet at the beach and no shuffling during a yoga class! The full-sized towel is 180 x 76 cm, but we also offer smaller sizes for the whole family. The Junior size is 140 x 76 cm and comes with a matching backpack, while the Baby size is 76 x 76 cm with a corner hoodie. All towels are light and compact, unlike cotton terry alternatives.

What are the sand-free towels made of?

The Summer Chaser sand-resistant beach towel is made of 85% post-consumer recycled polyester (rPET) and 15% nylon - completely sustainable fabrics! What is recycled polyester? Recycled polyester (rPET for short) is a type of yarn that’s produced from synthetic fibres. Recycled polyester is produced by recycling existing materials (like plastic bottles and packaging) but still has all the characteristics and performance as a regular polyester, making it a more sustainable fabric alternative. How’s recycled polyester made? Recycled polyester is made by crushing plastic products into small pieces. These small pieces are then processed into yarn, transformed into a fibre, and in the end—made into a fabric. What are the advantages of recycled polyester? Producing rPet takes 33% to 53% less energy than creating polyester from scratch. Also, rPet produces approximately 54.6% fewer CO2 emissions to the air than virgin polyester. By using recycled materials to make things like these sand-free beach towels, at least some of the plastic waste produced doesn’t end up in landfills. This premium fabric is not only resistant to sand but is also ultra-absorbent, quick-drying, and it comes in super fun prints! We print our towels digitally using sustainable water-based inks. How do you take care of the sand-free towels?

Our sand-resistant beach towels are very easy to look after. They don't build up any musty smells (like organic cotton terry towels do), thus requiring less frequent washing. As the sand does not stick within the fibres, they do not damage your washing machine or leave sandy residue in the tumble dryer. That means our eco towels help you save precious water and are safer for your washing machine. We suggest giving your towel an initial wash before the first use. Make sure to wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle with like colours, and hang to dry. If you need to tumble dry, use the lowest temperature setting to avoid deformation. Avoid bleach, fabric softener or applying any direct heat, such as ironing or drying near the heater. No-sand beach towels are colourfast and stay vibrant for years to come with normal wear.
